I am Jorge Weston, and I am doing my PhD at Friedrich-Alexander-University
Erlangen-Nuremberg, I hold a Master degree in Scince of Industrial Engenieering
and a bachelor in Industrial Engenieering, both from Universidad Técnica
Federico Santa María in Valparaíso, Chile. I have worked in robust optimization,
netowrks and inventary control, and now I am working in distribution networks
under uncertainty.

I am Esteban Salgado. I am doing a PhD at CNR-IASI (the degree is from
Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza") and my project is about
exact methods for non-linear optimisation problems on graphs.
I hold a Master's degree in Optimization from École Polytechnique, France
and a Bachelor's double-degree in Engineering from École Polytechnique and
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (I am Chilean by the way).
I am an evangelical Christian (not so common here, I know) and whenever
I have some free time I like to play basketball and try to learn some card tricks (with emphasis on try).

I am Martina Cerulli and I am currently doing a PhD at CNRS
in Ecole Polytechnique, which is located in the south-western outskirts of Paris.
I’m working on bilevel optimization and applications. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree
in “Logistic and Production Management Engineering” from the University Federico II of Naples
and my Master's degree in “Management Engineering” at the University La Sapienza of Rome,
where I mould my study plan by specializing in the field of optimization.

Hi there, I'm Henri Lefebvre. I am a Ph.D student at the University of Bologna (Italy)
where I study decomposition methods for convex non-linear mixed integer optimization.
I graduated from the University of Technology of Compiègne (France) in both their
master degree and Engineering diploma. I also hold a master degree from the
University of Genova (Italy). My master thesis was realized during an internship at
the INRIA Bordeaux Sud-Ouest laboratory (France) on two-stage robust optimization with
binary recourses applied to scheduling. During my free time,
I like running and taking part in races.

My name is Benedikt Bienhüls and I am in the PhD program at the "Università di Pisa".
I work in close collaboration with MAIOR, a company that develops software for the
transportation industry. We work on integrated planning as well as disruption
management decisions in public transport systems. I hold both a Bachelor's and a
Master's degree in business mathematics at the "Technische Universität Dortmund"
in Germany.
Besides enjoying beautiful places and great food in Tuscany and Italy in general,
I also like doing sports, playing board games and (sometimes) solving logic riddles.

I am Nicolò Gusmeroli and I am currently working at the TU Dortmund with
Christoph Buchheim. I did my bachelor in Verona (with an Erasmus semester
in Koper) and the master in Budapest. Moreover I did research for three years in Klagenfurt.
I love nature, especially the mountains. I enjoy trekking, skiing, traveling,
reading, and doing sports.

I am Chaitanya Gudapati and I am currently an
Early Stage Researcher at University of Bologna. I am currently working in the area of
Mixed Integer Non-Linear optimization problems in identifying dense subgraphs in
various networks. I also have keen interest in Numerical Optimization and Computational
Methods for Optimization. I have a Master’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering
from Lehigh University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras.
I am an avid hiker and also I also enjoy running. I would like though hike the
Appalachian Trail in future.

I am Shudian Zhao. I am doing a PhD at Alpen-Adria-Universität of
Klagenfurt and my project is about solving semidefinite programs
numerically. I hold a Master's degree in Machine Learning from

Mathematics from the University of Reading in UK and Nanjing
University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) in China. I
love music, literature and movies, and one of my new habits is
sending postcards to myself while traveling.

I am Daniel Brosch, one of the PhD-students of Etienne de Klerk at Tilburg University.
At the moment I am working on symmetry reducing semidefinite relaxations of
quadratic assignment problems, which basically means that I try to make it easier
to get approximations of very hard problems, by exploiting their symmetries and structure.
Generally my mathematical interests are (convex) optimization, combinatorics,
graph theory and algebra. Before moving to the Netherlands I did both
my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematics in Cologne, Germany.
Outside of work I enjoy reading, playing badminton, watching shows,
dancing, and the occasional video game.

My name is Dennis Adelhuette and I am the project manager of MINOA and a
PhD Student at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. I am interested in
robust optimisation, in particular under discrete variables. At the moment, I am doing research on
the field of robust logistics. Beforehand, I analysed robust-stochastic gas networks under demand
uncertainty in my master's thesis.
In my free time, I like playing chess, music, going out and hiking - especially in my favorite country Australia.
